In this digital age, where social media and the internet are being used by children and young people more and more, concerns like cyber hygiene, cyber security, and cyberbullying are pertinent. Parents must be aware of the steps they can take to protect their children. Senior Secondary Model School Punjabi University, Patiala organized an interactive session around this idea, with the assistance of the School Principal, President Arvinder Singh of the Umang Welfare Foundation, Senior Vice President Anurag Acharya (Cyber Expert), Program Coordinator Dr. Gaganpreet Kaur, and other Team members. The students were taught terms including cyber bullying, hacking, fishing, cloning, data theft, digital fraud, and grooming. Numerous case studies were also presented to the students, which helped allay their worries regarding privacy and data security. Before adjourning the gathering, he offered some guidance on online banking and safe online transactions. Before adjourning the seminar, he stated, “We should use the internet responsibly because it’s a technology, not a toy,” and provided the website link for reporting cybercrimes. The participants in the last session’s online hygiene quiz received consolation gifts from the team members and the school head.
