In this digital world, where children are increasingly wired to social media and the internet, the concerns of cyber security, cyber bullying, cyber hygiene are pertinents. Parents too need to be well-informed of what steps they can take to keep their children safe. With this notion, GEMS Public School hosted an interactive session under the Guidance of W/School Ms. Manjari Tejpal and Honorable Guest Ms. Shaina Kapoor CDPO Patiala and Umang Welfare Foundation Sr.Vice President Anurag Acharya (Cyber Security Expert) and Other Umang Team members presided the Seminar. The students were introduced to various terminologies like Cyber Bullying, Hacking, Fishing, Cloning, Data Theft, Digital Frauds and Grooming. Several case studies were also shared with the students and they were further sanitized towards privacy and security of data. He concluded the session by sharing some tips for internet banking and safe online transactions. He also shared the website for reporting Cyber Crimes. Honourable Guest Ms.Shaina Kapoor concluded the seminar by saying that an internet is a technology, not a toy so we should harness it carefully.
